About Jenn Pontillo, LMHC
Top-Rated Anxiety Therapist in Beverly, MA, Offering Therapy Throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Vermont

Welcome! I’m Jenn Pontillo (she/her), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in Vermont. I’ve worked in the mental health field for almost 25 years, supporting adults and older adolescents through life’s transitions, challenges, and moments of growth.
I have experience working in a variety of settings including schools, community health organizations, private practice, and hospitals. I earned my B.S. from Bentley University in Marketing and Cultural Studies and my M.A. from Lesley University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling/School Guidance Counseling.
I have a special passion for working with emerging adults, educators, and healthcare professionals. Having been in these fields myself, I deeply understand the weight of the roles you carry and the emotional demands they bring.

My Approach to Therapy
Therapy is an opportunity to learn more about yourself—how you process experiences, navigate relationships, and find resilience in the face of hardship. Whether you’re coping with anxiety, grief, trauma, or a major life transition, my goal is to provide a safe and nurturing space where you can explore your emotions and move toward healing.
My therapeutic approach is:
- Person-Centered & Strength-Based – You are the expert in your own life. I’m here to support and empower you.
- Holistic & Trauma-Informed – Healing involves the mind, body, and emotions. We’ll work together to find practices that help you feel grounded and resilient.
- Rooted in Evidence-Based Practices – I integrate CBT, mindfulness, trauma-informed techniques, and post-traumatic growth strategies to help you build lasting skills and confidence.
- Affirming & Inclusive – I work from an antiracist and LGBTQIA+ affirming lens, ensuring that therapy is a space where you feel truly seen and valued.
What You Can Expect
I have always seen therapy as an opportunity to learn more about ourselves and how we work through various life experiences, including loss, trauma, and yes, the exciting, new possibilities. Creating time and space for yourself is a gift.
I am here to help create a safe, nurturing environment to explore those parts of you that are most in need. The work at times can feel hard, scary, and also rewarding. Over time, we will identify coping strategies and process thoughts so you can continue on your path. I bring a lot of empathy, hope, and humor to the process. I know that through our work together, we can create more peace, joy, and happiness for you.
